SOFA NY work...

After a long weekend of frustration and way too much going on...I 'm finally finished my last piece for SOFA NY. I'll be represented by Charon Kransen and can't wait to be there!

Botalgamation

Internal Accretion

...and this is the aftermath. Looks like I have some major cleaning up to do tonight or I'll never be able to find anything again.

Hope everyone has a great week ahead!

more botanical photos

I just couldn't stop myself from taking gobs of photo's of the lush landscape and tropical flowers of Florida...so here are a few more shots for inspiration.

soft and fragile new growth of a palm

palm inflorescence in bloom (very waxy little flowers)

the inside of a giant magnolia bloom (such a deliciously sweet smell)

Addie the beach dog...she loved being out in the sun

Back Home Again in Indiana...

Making a pitstop in Indy (at my mom's where I grew up) on my way back to Chicago from the beach. It's nice to be in a comforting and familiar place called home for the night. I have lots of beach photos to share (so they will consume most of my blog posts for a bit).

Hope everyone's been having a nice weekend :)

At the Beach...

I'm in Florida this week enjoying a vacation with my family :)
Upon my return to Chicago I'll be refreshed reenergized and bursting with ideas and creativity. I've snapped a few photos of goodies that I found on or around the beach. Hope everyone finds them beautiful and inspiring.

I love the peach color!
piece of sandollar and strange spongy sand tubes

underside of dead crab with a beautiful shell

curious amalgamation of tiny shells

Deer Lake Landscape, a beautiful and secluded beach and state park

I'll post again soon about my vacation adventures if I can pick up another wireless signal.
Cheers!
